Candela Nordlys Vein Removal Treatment

Devine Skin Nurse Clinic Treatment Room

THE LASER SUITE

Candela Nordlys Vein Removal Treatment

The Candela Nordlys Vein Removal Treatment is a safe, non-invasive solution designed to visibly reduce unwanted veins and restore a clearer, more even complexion.

Using advanced light-based technology, it precisely targets the haemoglobin within blood vessels, causing them to gently collapse and be naturally reabsorbed by the body - without damaging the surrounding skin.

Ideal for treating thread veins, spider veins, broken capillaries, and facial redness, this treatment helps to diminish visible vascular concerns while improving overall skin tone. With minimal discomfort and little to no downtime, Candela Nordlys vein removal offers a highly effective way to achieve smoother, clearer, and more confident-looking skin.

Pre- & Post-Care Instructions

for Sensitive Skin

What To Expect

  • Avoid Sun Exposure:

    • Stay out of direct sun and avoid tanning (including self-tanners) 2–4 weeks prior to treatment.

    • Use broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) daily.

    Discontinue Certain Products/Medications:

    • Avoid photosensitising medications (e.g., doxycycline, minocycline) at least 72 hours prior (consult your provider).

    • Stop using retinoids, glycolic acids, and exfoliating agents 5–7 days before treatment.

    Shave the Treatment Area:

    • Shave the area 24 hours before the procedure. Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams.

    No Blood Thinners:

    • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or alcohol for 48–72 hours before your appointment unless medically necessary (check with your doctor).

    Clean Skin Only:

    • Come to your appointment with clean skin—no lotions, creams, deodorants, or makeup on the area to be treated.

    Medical History Disclosure:

    Inform your provider about:

    • Any history of cold sores (if treating near the mouth).

    • Any underlying conditions (e.g., clotting disorders).

    • Any recent laser, injectable, or surgical procedures.

  • Redness & Swelling:

    • Mild redness, swelling, or a slight “cat scratch” look is normal and should resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.

    • Apply cold compresses (not ice directly on skin) to reduce swelling.

    Avoid Heat & Friction:

    For 24–48 hours, avoid:

    • Hot baths/showers

    • Saunas/steam rooms

    • Vigorous exercise

    • Tight clothing over treated areas

    Keep the Area Clean:

    • Gently cleanse with a mild, non-irritating cleanser.

    • Pat dry - do not rub.

    No Picking or Scratching:

    • Crusting or light scabbing may occur—do not pick, as this can cause scarring or hyperpigmentation.

    Sunscreen is Critical:

    • Use SPF 30+ daily on the treated area for at least 4 weeks post-treatment.

    • Avoid sun exposure as much as possible.

    No Harsh Products:

    • Avoid exfoliants, scrubs, acids (AHA/BHA), and retinoids on the area for 5–7 days or until fully healed.

    Follow-Up Treatment:

    • Vein clearance is gradual - optimal results often require 2–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

    Watch for Unusual Symptoms:

Contact your provider if you experience:

    • Blistering

    • Signs of infection (pus, warmth, increased redness)

    • Persistent pain or skin darkening
