THE AESTHETICS ROOM

Injectable Collagen Stimulators

Injectable collagen stimulators like Nucleofill & Radiesse work beneath the surface to improve skin quality from within. Rather than simply adding volume, these treatments encourage your skin to produce more collagen and elastin - improving firmness, elasticity, and hydration over time.

Radiesse provides instant lift along with long-term collagen regeneration, making it ideal for deeper structural support. Nucleofill works on a cellular level to oxygenate, hydrate, and tighten skin, especially around delicate areas like the eyes, face, and neck.

Perfect for those seeking natural rejuvenation without changing their facial expressions—just healthier, more radiant skin.

Please Note: All new clients are required to attend a consultation and receive a personalised treatment plan before undergoing any injectable or aesthetic treatments.

THE AESTHETICS ROOM

Injectable Collagen Stimulators

As we age, volume loss and structural changes in the face can alter our natural contours. At The Aesthetics Room, Nurse Áine takes a conservative, anatomy-led approach to dermal fillers - focusing on restoring balance rather than simply adding volume.

Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation, assessing facial proportions, bone structure, and fat distribution. Using precision and care, Áine designs each treatment to subtly enhance and restore, achieving natural, age-appropriate results that honour your individual features.

Please Note:

All new clients are required to attend a consultation and receive a personalised treatment plan before undergoing any injectable or aesthetic treatments.

What To Expect

  • When you visit us for collagen-stimulating treatments like Nucleofill or Radiesse, we’ll begin with a detailed consultation to understand your skin goals. These treatments work differently from fillers - instead of adding volume instantly, they help your skin rebuild collagen, improve texture, and restore firmness over time.

We’ll assess your skin, talk through the areas you’d like to treat, and recommend the product and treatment plan that will give you the best results. Whether you’re looking to improve skin quality, reduce crepiness, or achieve long-term rejuvenation, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Before your treatment starts, we’ll cleanse the area and apply a numbing cream to keep you comfortable. The product is then injected using a fine needle or cannula, depending on the area. You may feel light pressure or a small pinch, but most people find the procedure very manageable.

Your appointment typically takes around 30–45 minutes, and you’ll leave knowing exactly what to expect in the days and weeks ahead.

  • Because these treatments work by stimulating your own collagen, aftercare is simple but important for helping the product settle well.

    Here’s what we usually recommend:

    • Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated area for 24 hours, unless we advise otherwise.

    • Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 24–48 hours.

    • Avoid makeup on the treated areas until the next day.

    • Try to avoid excessive sun exposure and wear SPF daily (even when it’s cloudy).

    • Stay well-hydrated — this can support collagen production and help the skin recover smoothly.

    • Some swelling or small lumps immediately after treatment are normal and usually settle within a few days.

    • With Radiesse, we may advise gentle massage at specific times — if so, we’ll talk you through the process clearly.

We usually book a review after 4–6 weeks depending on the product, as collagen stimulators take time to show their full benefits.

  • Collagen-stimulating injectables are very safe when carried out by experienced medical professionals, but as with all treatments, side effects can occur.

    Common & Expected Side Effects

    • Mild swelling

    • Redness

    • Tenderness or small bumps at injection points

    • Slight bruising

    • A feeling of firmness while the product settles

These typically resolve within a few days.

    Less Common Side Effects

    • More noticeable swelling lasting 3–5 days

    • Small nodules that may require assessment or gentle massage (by us)

    • Temporary unevenness while the collagen response develops

    Rare but Possible

    • Infection

    • Allergic reaction

    • Vascular occlusion (very rare but treatable when recognised early)

    • Delayed inflammatory reactions (uncommon but possible with any injectable)

Your safety is our top priority. If you experience anything unexpected, or if something just doesn’t feel right, please get in touch — we’re always here for reassurance and follow-up care.
